As I look back on the past two years of my college journey, I realize how much I’ve grown, both personally and professionally. Being in a tier 3 college has its own set of challenges, but it has also provided invaluable lessons that I carry with me every day. Here are three key takeaways from my experience:
1. Finding Your Tribe:
In a place where resources might be limited, finding a group of like-minded people who share your vision and work ethic is crucial. These are the people who will motivate you, challenge you, and keep you accountable. My journey became more meaningful when I connected with those who shared the same drive and ambition.
2. Self-Exploration & Independent Learning:
In an environment where opportunities might not be handed to you, the key is to explore and learn on your own. Whether it’s diving into coding, attending online workshops, or working on personal projects, the knowledge I’ve gained from self-driven initiatives has been the cornerstone of my growth. Don’t wait for the perfect moment—create it.
3 . Avoiding the Wrong Crowd:
College is a time when you’re surrounded by different influences. It’s easy to get caught up in the wrong crowd or fall into the trap of peer pressure. I’ve learned the importance of avoiding the “wrong friend zones” and instead, focusing on relationships that add value to my life.
Finally, always set your own goals , independent of others ,and avoid letting anyone else’s judgment sway you. Your path is unique, and so are your aspirations. Keep moving forward, stay true to yourself, and remember that your goals are valid, no matter what others think. 🌟
